Richard to headline at Tiger Tiger reading17/02/2011Richard is delighted to announce that he will be amongst the poets headlining the Tiger Tiger reading at Bloxwich library on Saturday March 5th.The event will feature a number of well known poets who are all gathering together to support tiger charities. The poems the poets are reading are to be compiled in a book, Tiger Tiger which is to be published within the year with the blessing of The World Wiildlife Fund. The project is coordinated by Helen Calcutt,the performance poet and the artist Peter Tinkler of The Written Image. Wildness: Animals in their Habitats16/01/2011Richard was delighted to hear recently thatPollyanna Pickering is keen to work with him on a collection of Richard's Born Free Poems, which will also include what he and others consider to be his best wildlife poems from the last 2 decades. The collection, which is to be published by Coypu Publications, Richard's own publishing house will be illustrated with Pollyanna's paintings and photographs by Anna - Louise. No doubt has yet been set for publication but the launch will take place at Brookvale, Pollyanna's house just outside Matlock in Derbyshire sometime during the Summer of 2012. Both are looking forward to collaborating on the project and a portion of the proceeds from sales will be divided equally between The Born Free and Pollyanna Pickering foundations. New Review for Animated Nature13/01/2011Kathy Page, the well known novelist and graduate of Malcolm Bradbury's School of Creative writing at The University of East Anglia has just described Richard as "A 21st century John Clare" in her review of Animated Nature.Kathy has written a number of well reviewed novels,including Alphabet and The Find.
